Lauren

Lauren began studying flamenco dance in 2002 in a workshop with Omayra Amaya. She made many Chinatown bus pilgrimages to New York to spend weekends taking class with Omayra. Since 2006 Lauren has performed regularly in Boston, including frequent shows at Bar Lola. Lauren spent much of 2008 studying in Sevilla, Spain with a wonderful dancer and teacher, Alicia Marquez. In 2009 she performed in and produced the show Tablao Flamenco with Antonio Arrebola, Ricardo Diaz, and Vicente Griego. Also in 2009 she joined the faculty of Boston Percussive Dance in Central Square Cambridge.
